Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin popular music scene is influenced by his international impact. Una Lady Como Tu, his hit from 2016, won the Colombian Kids Choice Award in 2017 for Best Song. In Medellin the year of Medellin, Sony's La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. The album peaked at the rank of eighteen on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he teamed up with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia was his collaborative effort with Noriel in the year 2020. Following that season, Dopamina came out as his sophomore album. Then in 2021 he sang the duet for the TINI streaming hit single Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which featured the hit single La Bachata. Turizo comes from an musical family, as both his parents and brother are musicians. According to him, musicality was a mandatory element of his existence. As a child he learned to play the saxophone and ukulele and piano. The initial goal was to be a veterinarian however, his brother Julian encouraged him to learn how to sing under a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he realized his talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
