Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico in a family who loved music. The majority of her childhood was spent listening to classical music, old boleros and traditional romantic and ranchero ballads. Ana loves tangos, operas and other dramatic performances. Ana began learning to play the piano and sing in the early years together with her mom. The formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University as well as the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico kept her in the music field. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was an active member of numerous opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved in America, United States, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002, she made her way to southern California. The singer currently sings traditional Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She has been involved with a number of local initiatives in both teaching and performer, because of her enthusiasm for art and music. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is presently a professor at the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially for the young generation, for keeping this music alive.
